I am very proud of the wonderful start the Musical Mustangs have had this year! While there are a lot of us (50!) in one room at a time, we get the pleasure of learning, growing, singing, and having fun together.
Congratulations to the choir for wonderful performances both at the Veteran's Day breakfast and the PTO Craft Bazaar! I continue to hear wonderful things about their performances and the impact it had on others! I am constantly amazed by the hard work and dedication of these students.Thank you to parents for all the transportation that has been needed so far! We couldn't do it without you. (There's a video of our Veteran's Day performance on the elementary school website!)
Speaking of transportation...... our next performance (last for the year of 2013) is coming up on Saturday, December 14th! We will go caroling at Brown Memorial Nursing Home in Circleville. I have heard that the residents there absolutely love this sort of thing and I'm really looking forward to bringing the holiday spirit to them with our singing! We will try to begin singing at 10:00am so please arrive by 9:45am at the latest. This gives me time to warm-up the students, take attendance, and work out any problems, should they arise. Someone will be in the lobby directing you toward the dining room where we will gather. We should be done by 11:00 at the latest. Students should wear their choir t-shirt and can bring Santa hats, reindeer ears, elf hats, etc. if they would like.
To end the first half of our choir season, and to honor the hard work of the students, we will have a White Elephant Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 17th during our 4:00 rehearsal. Participation in the white elephant gift exchange is not necessary, only optional! There will be desserts, snacks, and drinks for the students and games. It will be a time of team building and fun as an ensemble. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email or call me!
